Rakkh is a unique, boutique resort located in the heart of the Kangra Valley, just one hour from Dharamshala, and shadowed by the Dhauladhar range. It is a far cry from the overly commercialised tourist hubs of the state, surrounded as it is by peaceful villages and sparkling fields of wheat, emerald-green tea gardens and spectacular blossoms throughout the seasons. At the same time it benefits from easy access to Baijnath Temple, the world renowned Andretta Pottery Studio, the magnificent Kangra Fort, the breathtaking rockcut temples at Masroor and the heartlands of Tibetan Culture in McLeod Ganj, all a short distance.
Rakkh is accessible by air from Delhi to Kangra Airport, with two direct flights a day, and an hour’s drive on to resort. The nearest railheads are at Pathankot and Una, which are between 2 ½ - 3 hours drive. The overnight sleeper trains allow guests to reach early and make the most of their time at this wonderful location.
Rakkh is also famous for its outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, climbing and rapelling on the artificial climbing wall and slacklining as well as pottery workshops they can organise at Andretta, Paragliding at the world famous Bir, which is an adrenalin fuelled activity, sure to satisfy anyone with an appetite for a real rush with the most spectacular backdrop.
