Counselling services are beneficial in a variety of circumstances and at Step by Step Psychology we work with clients to address their concerns. Counselling most often involves working directly with the client to address their difficulties and support them to overcome their challenges.

When working with children, we believe that successful outcomes rely on the support the child receives from their family members and seek to involve families in psychological intervention when it is believed it will have a positive effect.

We are a flexible service, using a variety of psychological and counselling techniques, to suit the client’s personality and presenting concerns. As such, all intervention processes at Step by Step Psychology are individually tailored to maximise positive outcomes for the individual client. Our primary intervention approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, depending on the preference and needs of the client.
