# Z-TEXT: Privacy-Focused Messaging on BitcoinZ

Z-TEXT is a privacy-focused messaging application built on the BitcoinZ blockchain. Our goal is to give users greater control over their digital communications without requiring a phone number, email address, or SIM card.

We combined five tools into one application: a private messenger, BitcoinZ wallet, password manager, Channels, and disposable identities. The application uses zk-SNARKs and AES-256-GCM as part of its privacy and security architecture, bringing blockchain technology and cryptographic tools into a unified user experience.

## What We Built

- **Password Manager:** A convenient place to manage passwords within the application.
- **Channels:** A way to read community content.
- **Disposable Identities:** Alternative digital identities for different communication needs.

A single 24-word seed provides access to the application's integrated tools.

## How We Built It

Z-TEXT combines modern application development with blockchain and cryptographic technologies. Flutter is used for cross-platform application development, while Rust is part of the technology stack. The project incorporates the BitcoinZ blockchain, zk-SNARKs, AES-256-GCM, X25519, Ed25519, and ML-KEM-768.

These technologies support different parts of the application's development, including user interfaces, cryptographic operations, encryption, key exchange, digital signatures, and privacy-oriented functionality.

Our approach brings messaging, cryptocurrency access, password management, and digital identities together instead of requiring users to rely on separate applications.

The application is available for Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, with iOS planned.
