What is a Safety valve test bench?
In simple words, a valve test bench is a specialised system used to test valves under controlled conditions before they go into actual service. These test benches simulate the actual operating conditions with temperature fluctuation, pressure cycling, and rapid opening and closing in a controlled environment. This testing process essentially ensures the valves can handle extreme pressure ranges, are sealed properly and perform consistently under real-world conditions.

Types of valve tests
Pressure testing – ensures the structural integrity of the valve by verifying whether it can withstand high pressure without deforming.
Leakage testing – detect internal and external leakage or any potential drips and drops in the valve.
Performance testing – validate the smooth opening and closing of the valve and check if the actuators work as intended.
