The word "Rudraksha" originates from two Sanskrit words: "Rudra" (a name for Lord Shiva) and "Aksha" (meaning eye). Legend has it that Lord Shiva, in a state of deep meditation, shed tears of compassion for humanity. These tears crystallized upon touching the earth, forming the sacred Rudraksha seeds.
