A user who wants to access the router remotely from another computer or device has to configure the Remote Management feature in the Linksys router. The feature helps in allowing a user to access and control the settings of a router remotely even outside the wireless range of a network. While configuring the Remote Management feature, you need to assign the MAC address of the device with which you are going to access the router. You can activate and configure the Remote Management feature using the myrouter.local interface.
