Business description

The Machinery Directive in the UK outlines essential health and safety requirements for machinery placed on the market. Adopted from the European Union's Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, it mandates that machinery must meet stringent safety standards before being sold. Manufacturers must conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance, and affix the CE marking to demonstrate conformity. The directive covers various machinery types, from industrial equipment to domestic appliances, aiming to protect users and operators from hazards. Compliance with this directive is crucial for manufacturers to avoid legal penalties and ensure the safety and reliability of their products in the UK market.
